Teeth? Freak?

I used to laugh at my sister for being such a teeth-freak. She'll tell me not to brush my teeth too hard and move my toothbrush in circles, so as to not spoil the teeth and hurt the gums. She used to floss her teeth every night which I thought was the most ridiculous thing to do on earth, because brushing cleans your teeth sufficiently.

Well, I used to think people who floss are freaks.

Until now.

Yes, I have started flossing and brushing my teeth with care. I even started using Sensodyne. It is so expensive. Because I am so kiam siap, I use it once a day. I use the cheap, good, and faithful Darlie the other time I brush my teeth.

Oh, not to forget, I brush my teeth and floss it after every meal whenever I get a chance. But I don't use toothpaste lah when I brush after lunch or breakfast, because overdose of flourine is not good for you. Nothing in excess is ever good. That includes flossing or brushing teeth.

I suddenly realise how important it is to take care of my teeth. Yes, I did, when I saw my dental bill.

And the dentist also pointed out how unhealthy my teeth and gums were. And apparently, I grind my teeth at night =(

And now that I've started flossing, I realised that there are a hell lot of food particles that stuck between your teeth which you can't brush off using a toothbrush. People, start flossing! Those little bacteria in there and feeding off your food remnants and causing your teeth to decay and form cavities.

If you want to enjoy life, and enjoy food in all its fullness of taste and texture, be a teeth freak today!

Revolution

My blog is dead. I have resigned to type short updates because I get turned off by the thought of having to type a long blog post. I have two long pending post I haven't touched for two weeks.

I just came back from Penang a few days ago. I was there on Revolution Tour that my church organised.

We left Summit Hotel at about 9.45am on Friday (18 August) and arrived Penang at about 3.30pm. Or something like that. I wasn't looking at my watch. The bus was driving sooo slow, contrary to the Tioman trip during which the bus was speeding.

On the way there, there was a fleet of antique cars for some 100 years anniversary of some Sultan something something college. Manage to take some pictures.

Then I attempted to take the picture of the famous or infamous Penang Bridge.

There! If you squint hard enough, you'll be able to see the "arches" or whatever you call it, the metal suspensions, the Penang Bridge icon.

This picture was taken from the bridge as well. If you squint, again, you'll see Menara KOMTAR, the tallest building in Penang. One of Penang's famous places, but it is now abandoned.

They are in the process of expanding the bridge to build 3 lanes.

Okay, I didn't take much pictures. I kept reminding myself to take pictures, but forgot all the way. Oh, to come to think of it, those are the only pictures I took. The rest aren't that nice, so not gonna bother to post it up.

So after arriving at the hotel, checking in, taking a quick shower and changing, we rushed off to Penang Christian Centre, the venue for our 1st Revo Party. After setting up the place and all, the party started at 7.30pm.

Some pictures taken off the RevoNews Penang website.

Oh you might just spot me in one of the pictures.
Yeah, there were pretty much a lot of people. First night count was 500+ but it looked like 700 people.
Yeah, as you can see, the church is HUGE. I didn't expect Penang to have a huge church, haha, sorry, I pandang rendah.

The party ended about 10 / 10.30pm, again I didn't look at the time.

Then we managed to eat some real Penang food. We did have some Tambun biscuits during our tea. But for supper, I ate the real Penang Char Kuay Teow and Kon Lo Wan Tan Mee. Woo hoo!

Aiyo, I sound like some narrator / commentator explaining every single thing we did.

"Then, we went back to the hotel, bathe, pang sai, brush teeth, set alarm clock, and sleep. And woke up the next morning, brush teeth, bathe, had breakfast and went on the bus."

I shall stop doing that.

Second day was great as well. Had Revo Academy and Revo Party.

Overall, it was a great experience. It's great being able to sow into another state, and overall to the growth of Malaysia. Malaysia needs Malaysians who loves Malaysia enough to stand up to make a change in the state.

It's also great seeing young people hyped up, passionate, and in love with God. I'd say the atmosphere there was more encouraging than even some days in church. Maybe it is because it is a conference, but if Penang was like that during every church service, it is definitely something to be proud of.

Most of all, I myself am blessed through the trip. Many of pastor's messages were preached before, but I needed to hear that again to remind myself - so many things.

* * *

So overall, Revo Penang was awesome!

People from Kota Kinabalu, the Revolution Team will be there this weekend 1-2 August! Be there!

People from Kuantan, the Revolution Team with be there two weekends from now, 16 August. I'll be there too!

And for the rest of us ( most of my readers are from KL ), the Revolution conference will be here. 21-23 August. Somewhat, I don't want the conference to come just yet. It is right before I start IMU. *shakes head*
