My blog is as good as dead. And I don't plan to update it too often in the near future. So I officially declare that my blog is temporarily down until the next update.
While I am at it...
Let me update a little bit here and there about IMU.
IMU rocks!
Haha. Just the day before I started my course at IMU, I was telling others, IMU chi ta pian, which means IMU eat shit in Mandarin. (Forgive me if my han yu pin yin is wrong)
But hey, I am really enjoying myself in IMU.
I've started class already, and it feels like I'm still in the holiday mood.
It feels like those holidays that I feel very semangated to study. And lectures are only two hours a day, so it's pretty much relaxed. No, I mean, there is alot of time to study. Haha. The other times are meant for private studies because IMU's focus is self-study.
Orientation was two weeks long, and it was really fun. I know of no other universities which has an orientation that has games and skits. It feels like camp, but in a greater scale of extremism. No, thank God there is no crossdressings or kama sutra positions which IMU is famed for; no more of that. It was just very dirty games, dirty physically, because they throw flour, butter, murky water, spray water, etc etc, make you lie in the carpark which has puddles of water, duck walk around one part of the Commonwealth Park. But the dirt and all makes it fun.
Then there was the acting part which we had to prepare.
All these games actually helped us bond and get to know each other. It kept us on our toes, so we had no time to emo because we are away from our homes and families and friends which we are so comfortable with.
I actually really felt myself using my full capacity during the two weeks orientation, which is not a bad thing, because it makes me feel like I am not slacking.
And oh, did I mention that I was the group leader of my orientation group. Really, it's nothing to be bragged about, because I never actually held a proper leadership role; and it was a really very humbling experience. Leadership through servanthood never meant as much as it did then.
But something I can brag about is that my group won second place for the overall orientation. But I cannot take any glory for it, because it was truly the whole group's effort and participation, and I really didn't do much.
Other than that, there are some really cool clubs and societies in IMU. Contrary to what many people think of medical students, no, we don't study all the time. At least of what I have seen from the seniors, they are really active in student related events. It's nothing like nerdy Taylors where all the clubs are nothing but dead. There is like something going on every week.
I just came back from a meeting with Infinity Milers, a running and mountain climbing club. Today was the welcoming party where we went and run in the Commonwealth Park. Good exercise. They organise trips for mountain climbing every fortnight, month or other month. So exciting!
Oh, today I became a simulated patient for a senior for their Clinical Skills Unit. Basically they had to examine me to see my condition. And they conducted a chest examination on me. It was so weird, they told me to take off my shirt and they were feeling for my heartbeat. So they were touching my chest and abdomen. But apparently you'll learn alot if you be a simulated patient. I haven't really learnt much.
Okay lah, that's a pretty cheung hei update already.
I should go back to studying for tomorrow's lecture and prepare for my Problem-Based Learning presentation.
And with the update, I declare my blog dead...
... until I decide to update my blog again. =)

I still remember that I promised an update about Tioman, but looks like got no time. My internet connection here at Bukit Jalil also isn't that good. But whenever I feel emo and miss my classmates, which I do.... sometimes... I'll update about it. It was really an unforgettable experience.
Other than that, tata!
