Dream Cars

You know something, I never really had a dream car. You know how some guys like to talk about wanting a Ferrari, or Mazda, or Audi, or some other kind of canggih high performance vehicle and start bragging as though they know the world about excellent engines?

Well, I personally never had a dream car.

I was never really into cars anyway. I know little about cars. I think even Yiyun knows more about cars than I do, since she blogs about some Mazda RX-some number. Most of all, I never drooled when I see a sports car pass by me. It never really mattered to me even if the most canggih looking Ferrari zoomed pass me at 200km/h, or some sporty looking Audi stopped next to me at the traffic light.

It never really mattered to me what vehicle I will drive when I grow up. Give me a Proton or a Toyota; a Perodua or a Nissan; I am fine with anything. As long as it gets me from A to B, it is a good car. After all, I am the kind of person who goes for functionality and not aesthetics.

Anyway, those sports car consume a lot of fuel, don't they? That burns a hole in the pocket.

Besides, what's the point of having a vehicle which can drive up to 200km/h when the speed limit in our highways are 110km/h?

So much for the fact that I don't believe in driving cool cars, I've found my dream car.

I want a hybrid car.

It has amazing fuel efficiency, low gas and carbon emissions, and not to forget equally powerful. I go for functionality.

And I want those cars you watch on Discovery. It has sensors and GPS and everything, so the vehicle can operate by itself. Knight Rider.

Yes lah, I know it is ugly. And there are other nicer hybrid cars. Haha. Apparently, Proton Gen-2 is going to produce a hybrid version. Shocking? Yes, I know. I was shocked too when I saw it on Wikipedia.
